The fireplace elevation is completely transformed from before to after. The most dramatic change is in the work on the mantel itself by the noted Bay Area decorative painting firm of Willem Racke. Here a very ordinary mantel is made to appear rich and lustrous - even when you view it up close and in person! The next important change is in the color of the walls and trim. Finally there is the change in what is placed nearby the fireplace. Note the overly large desk is no longer on the left side of the mantel. (2012-2014)
