TUDOR RESIDENCE

San Mateo, California

This bathroom, originally constructed in the early 1990s, was definitely in need of an update. The question was, what could be left as is, and what had to go. There is a point in every remodel when you just go all the way. In this home, I suggested that we try a different approach. In order to get seven additional years of life from the master bathroom, we replaced the floor tile with large format tile, upgraded the lighting, painted, wallpapered, and installed some seriously elegant window coverings. On the flip side, we left the tile at the tub, the counter tops, the fixtures, the fittings and the shower stall. I hope the result speaks well for itself. (2012-2014)
